MasterChef’s Yanin Campos Dead at 38 After Car Crash | E! News

The Master Chef family is mourning the loss of one of their own. Yanine Compost, who appeared on season 4 of the Cooking Competition series, has died at the age of 38. Her brother, Raul Compost, confirmed her passing in an August 4th Facebook post, writing, “To family and friends, we inform and mourn the death of my sister, Yanin Compost.” Local Mexican newspaper El Finance reported that Yannine was driving in her home city of Chihuahua August 2nd when she suddenly collided with a parked vehicle around 6:30 in the morning. The chef turned influencer was rushed to a local hospital. However, she succumbed to her injuries 2 days later with the outlet sharing that authorities are investigating whether excessive speed or distracted driving contributed to the cause of the fatal crash. Yenine first gained popularity while appearing on Masteref in 2018. And even though she ended up finishing the competition in sixth place, she was invited back the following year to compete on Master Chef Mexico. Following her sin on the Fox reality series, Yenin went on to create a name for herself on social media, amassing nearly 100,000 followers on Tik Tok, where she shared funny and relatable lifestyle content.
