Why Kelly Ripa Is Absent From ‘Live! With Kelly and Mark’ | E! News

Mark Canuelos is missing his other half. During the first week of August, Kelly Ripa has been missing from ABC’s Live with Kelly and Mark talk show as the co-host who has been part of the series since 2001 is out on summer vacation. Mark, who had his share of vacation last week, has been supported by guest co-hosts Jenna Dewan and Jackie John this week as his wife takes her time off. And while Kelly and Mark have been married for nearly 30 years and share kids Michael, Lola, and together, it doesn’t come as a total shock to most fans that they’ve opted for solo vacations. Recently, the couple admits they don’t spend as much time together as one might think, with Kelly telling E!News last month, “We don’t really see each other very much. Believe it or not, it just seems that way because when you see us, we’re on TV together, but we’re not really that.” Kelly notes that the duo have very separate schedules and very separate lives. Our interests outside of our talk show in the morning are really quite different from each other. [Music]
