Days of Our Lives’ Al Calderon Confirms Exit From Soap Opera | E! News

Days of Our Live star Al Calderon confirms his exit from the soap opera. The actor who joined the long-running soap opera last year playing Javi Hernandez, the cousin of characters Rafi and Gabby, confirms he’s leaving the hit TV series on his Instagram stories on August 6th, writing, “My time on Days of Our Lives has been truly life-changing. I’m endlessly grateful to the cast, crew, and creatives who made me feel seen, valued, and part of a legacy of family. The 31-year-old continues, “I’ll carry the love, lessons, and memories with me on every journey I go on. While I’m just a small grain of sand, I’m just happy I got to pass through the hourglass.” Despite his departure, he leaves the door open for Jav’s possible return in the future, adding, “As my mom used to tell me, it’s not goodbye, just see you later.” His final Days of Our Lives episode will reportedly air in May of next year, according to Deadline. As for why the actor is leaving the series so soon, it’s because he’s booked and busy with another hit TV show. Last month, Al confirms he’s joining season two of NBC’s Zachary Quintoled medical drama, Brilliant Minds. [Music]
