Manny Jacinto’s marriage advice is go to couples therapy before you need it and give your wife their flowers, literally and metaphorically by complimenting her, and making her feel good about herself and reminding her that she’s the best
Gonna brag about what a real piece of shit I am: I grocery shopped on Sunday so my wife could sleep in and relax, with a list I made for meals I planned on cooking for the week, and came home with a bouquet of sunflowers from the store and a pastry she likes without her asking, put away all the groceries, tidied up a bit, and then made focaccia bread dough so we can have it this week with some of our meals.
But he’s right- it says how much you love a person without them prompting you to show or tell them.

Couples’ counseling did make a huge difference in our relationship- we both have autism, and initially had a hard time communicating with one another, especially about tough things.
I’d always heard that a couple going to counseling was a ‘bad sign’ or only reserved for rocky periods, but it was super helpful in our case, so I would recommend it. (Obv, it can be both expensive and difficult to access- I hope we one day see universal healthcare that features coverage for things like talk therapy and other mental health supports.)

Ugh this is how I find out he’s married and my totally not imaginary chance with him is gone?

I’ll never forget 10 years ago going to couple’s therapy before we even got engaged to see if any issues would come up that we needed to work through (there was). I always say it probably saved our relationship but people at the time said it sounded like a red flag if we “needed” couple’s therapy if we had no major problems…

Awww! They seem to have a healthy, beautiful relationship and he just seems like a good guy in general.
Btw his wife is Dianne Doan. Some may know her from Warrior and as Lonnie from Descendants

That last one about asking if you are responding to how you are feeling or to what is being said is SO GOOD. Losing your ability to cope and emotionally regulate when you’re feeling off for whatever reason can be so damaging. Taking a pause or just acknowledging you’re not in the right space for a conversation can really help.

Yes please, let’s keep giving platforms to emotionally mature, well-spoken men who respect and love their partners and aren’t afraid of therapy.

I can’t help it. Maybe it’s because I’ve never heard his real voice in real life, but I can only hear this as Jason Mendoza and it’s hilarious. Something so lucid coming out in that voice.

He and Dianne Doan have consistently been doing red carpets together since they got engaged in 2019 but is this the first time they’ve been mentioned to be married?
