Beyoncé Is Halfway to EGOT Status With Milestone Emmy Win | E! News

Add Emmy winner to Beyonce’s long list of achievements. The singer officially won her first Emmy award after the television academy announced the winners of the 77th Emmy awards for jured awards in select categories on August 12th. The queen bee won an award in the category of outstanding costumes for variety non-fiction or reality programming for her Netflix special Beyonce Bowl. The awards will be presented at the 77th Creative Arts Emmy Awards, which are set to take place at the Peacock Theater in LA on September 6th and 7th. She’s also nominated in two other categories for Beyonce Bowl. Outstanding Variety Special Live for her role as a performer and executive producer as well as outstanding directing for Variety Special. Apart from the Emmy win, the singer has already won 35 Grammys and even received an Oscar nomination back in 2022 for best original song for co-writing Be Alive from the movie King Richard. This news comes after it was announced back in July that both Beyonce and her husband Jay-Z would face off at the 2025 Emmy Awards as they are both nominated in the same category for Outstanding Variety Special Live. Beyonce for her Beyonce bowl and Jay-Z for his role as executive producer on Kendrick Lamar’s Super Bowl halftime show earlier this year. [Music]
