    This show has been the cheesy escapism I have desperately needed lately. Anyone else watching? Gorgeous costumes, amazing sets, stacked cast! The writing? Eh 🤷‍♀️

      I’m watching and happy with it. The writing is waaaay better compared to The Buccaneers, which really disappointed me this season.

      Absolutely loving it. It’s absolutely fictional, playing, or messing, with historical figures and conventions.

      Started watching it with the expectation not to like it. Now I’m hooked and hope they hurry up filming the fourth season.

      I love it. It’s my low stakes watch. The cast is stacked with Broadway powerhouses and I really need a Black elite spinoff.

      I’m seriously slumping into a deep depression over the fact that we don’t know how long we need to wait until season 4 😭

      also I would pay a premium for them to do a musical special. It doesn’t even need to fit into the regular season, just like a silly side story where everyone is singing. That cast is stacked with musical talent it’s so upsetting we don’t even get one of them singing to us🥲

      The sets and costumes are absolute eye candy. The snooty, wealthy characters being humbled has been my favorite part of the storyline

      I love it, it is exactly the same fantasy-Gilded-Age nonsense that Downton Abbey was for that period in the UK. Tasty delicious period dramas, gimme gimme.

      Its loosely based off of legitimate socialite issues between the major families of New York City at the time. The Russells are based off the Vanderbilts. Most other families in the show are using their actual historical names.

      I have gotten a few people to watch it. My pitch is that basically it is very pretty and not that deep.

      The acting very much elevates the writing.

      I started season 1 this month and I’m at episode 4. I’m a Downton Abbey veteran, so I know to expect shit to go off a cliff after a great first season with Julian Fellows. Sometimes I’m amazed at the fact that he wrote Gosford Park, but I guess he had more oversight back then. And it was a one-shot, so it didn’t have time to go loopy.
