Cheryl Hines breaks silence on RFK Jr. marriage rumors a year after his alleged affair

Cheryl Hines is opening up about her marriage to Robert F. Kennedy Jr. nearly one year after his sexing scandal with journalist Olivia Nuni. In an interview with the Wall Street Journal, Hines refused to comment on the alleged affair directly, but she did skirt around the topic as she walked through a series of questions regarding some of her husband’s scandals. The actress said, quote, “I don’t think there’s any point to going through every rumor and headline to try to defend or explain it. Bobby and I talk about everything, so that’s how we move through everything and we’re really good friends and we trust each other,” she continued. “One would deduce that we love each other and are still married and whatever we’ve been through is behind us.” When asked how he felt knowing that his wife would inevitably get roped into his controversies, the politician, who also took part in the interview, told the outlet, “It’s impossible to control.” Reports of Kennedy’s alleged affair with Nunie surfaced in September 2024 after the journalist admitted to the scandal. While Nunie denied ever striking up a physical connection with the former 2024 presidential candidate, she explained that the nature of their communications had become personal. Sources told the Post that the Washington writer and the nephew of former President John F. Kennedy allegedly sexed. Hines stayed silent on the scandal for months, neglecting to address it. Though an insider soon after shared that she was embarrassed by the betrayal.
