      Full disclosure: I usually stay away from Taylor Swift discourse because I find her mind-numbingly dull but this really chapped by khakis.

      This is exactly how abusers continue to thrive, through casual endorsements from people with massive influence. How can Brad Pitt possibly be a bad guy if Taylor Swift, who masses of white women view as a beacon of feminism and girlbossery, thinks he’s sooooo cool?!

      This kind of offhanded praise is not harmless. It’s how reputations are rehabilitated. It’s how survivors are silenced. And it’s how cycles of abuse are quietly reinforced all while being disguised as charming banter.

      I don’t know what to say, like she’s pretty evil, and it’s pretty obvious, and I don’t know what it is about her that hypnotizes people.

      I already miss when she was on her break or whatever. We’re in for another year and a half (or more) of overexposure.
