Never Break These Rules In Other Countries

Never do these three things in other countries. In Japan, never dunk your sushi in soy sauce. If you dunk your rice into soy sauce like that, you’re insulting the chef. How do I eat it then? Flip it fish side down. Lightly dip just the fish in the soy sauce and then eat it in one bite. Oh wow, that tastes so much better. Next, if you’re ever in Bangkok, don’t hesitate when crossing the road. Drivers here won’t stop for you like they do in other countries. Make sure it’s safe, then walk with confidence. The driver should naturally flow around you. And in Jordan, never give someone a compliment. Dude, sick watch. Please take it. Wait, what? In some Jordanian cultures, when you compliment an item, it’s customary for the person to offer it to you. Wait, is that a Rolex? Well, I mean, dude, come on. That okay cake fine.

    1. -Don't dip the rice in soy sauce it will loosen the rice and it may fall apart
-Don't shake, slightly dip the fish into the soy sauce and let the excess drip down
-The pickled ginger is there to eat between pieces as palate cleanser
-It's ok to use your hands

    2. The final point is not exclusive to Jordan though. Most Arab countries will offer you things you like. If you are a tourist in Iraq, you will be pushed to accept it actually.

    3. You should warn that in Thailand you are not allowed to touch anyone head without permission, or you PROBABLY get puch in face.

    4. Japanese here. The first one is completely bs. The reason why you don't dip the rice in the soy sauce, is because it absorbs a lot of sauce and you won't taste the fish.

But no chef will care if you put the rice in the sauce.

Also, you can just use your hands to eat sushi. It's fingerfood.
