Idaho Murderer Bryan Kohberger Complains of “Taunting” by Prison Inmates

Brian Coberger isn’t adjusting well to his new life. In fact, the convicted murderer is complaining of taunting by his fellow inmates. The 30-year-old continues his life sentence at the Idaho Maximum Security Institution for the 2022 murders of four University of Idaho students, Kaye Gonzalez, Madison Mugan, Xanna Kernodal, and Ethan Chapen. In an August 13th statement, the Idaho Department of Corrections confirmed to NewsNation, “We are aware of Cobberger’s complaints about what he considers taunting. Incarcerated individuals commonly communicate with each other in prison.” They add, “Brian Cobberger is housed alone in a cell, and IDOC security staff maintain a safe and orderly environment for all individuals in our custody.” NewsNation learned that Brian was being tormented by his fellow inmates who are taking turns shouting through the air ducts all day and all night to keep him from sleeping or hearing himself think during the day. The director of the Cold Case Foundation and a retired homicide detective, Chris McDonald, told the outlet, “The inmates apparently were waiting for him,” adding, “They’re utilizing the vent system. They’re kicking the doors. They’re taunting him. And they’re basically torturing him through using psychology, and my goodness, he’s complaining. [Music]

Bryan Kohberger, who is serving four life sentences at an Idaho prison, has shared his complaints about how other prisoners have been “taunting” him.
