And just like that, Carrie Bradshaw is saying her final goodbyes in her best pair of molos. Of course. Of course. And HBO has confirmed that. And Just Like That will end after season 3, marking the last chapter for our favorite City Girls. So grab your girlfriends and shake up those cosmos. And toast to the series finale this Thursday. I’m walking down my old street. It’s so strange that I don’t live here anymore. The world is mourning the end of an era. After 27 years of friendship, fashion, and scandalous confessions, the ladies of Sex in the City are taking their final strut in the streets of New York. Why do I think Living in Manhattan is so fantastic? Because it is. There’s always a new neighborhood, a new restaurant, a new man. In 2023, we spoke with the OG cast about the legacy of the show and playing their iconic characters. She’s just a wonderful character to play. Anyway, she’s so funny. She’s so ferocious. She’s so smart. She’s so got so much bravado, but such a soft underbelly. But I think one of the things that’s really made it enjoyable for all of us is how our characters change and outgrow the situations they were in and then they changed those. Can I ghost a none? We’ve always felt that this was a very special and unique job. Life’s too short not to try something new. We couldn’t help but wonder what’s the one thing fans say to them over and over again. I think just how much it meant towards often that it was like a companion during a very difficult time. That’s so nice. Now people talk about like what’s their comfort watch and they talk about it being their comfort watch which is so funny cuz we would never have thought at the time that it would be a comfort watch but it’s so flattering. SJP shared a heartfelt farewell to Carrie Bradshaw on her Instagram. She loved, lost, she aged, got wiser. She has made the hardest, worst, and best decisions. Changed homes, time zones, boyfriends, her mind, but never her love and devotion to New York City. Miranda, Samantha, and Charlotte, there will never be better friends. Carrie Bradshaw has dominated my professional heartbeat for 27 years. I think I have loved her most of all. Okay. Is it the end of an era or like is it done? Like what’s going on? Oh, will this Thursday be truly the last time we see Carrie Bradshaw? I’m crying right now. Here’s what Sarah Jessica Parker had to say about that. you know, you arrive at this decision and it’s incredibly hard to um to be definitive and to say it. Um and really it makes no sense to a lot of people, you know, which I understand. So, but I can I wouldn’t have said back then that we would do a couple movies and that four years ago or five years ago and I would get on the phone and say, but that call in March, late March 2020 or early April, it was so apparent to both of us that it felt right.
