Lorna Raver, Drag Me to Hell Actress, Dead at 81
You shamed me. Lorna Raver, best known for her role in the horror flick Drag Me to Hell, has died. She was 81 years old. Lorna died in May, but the news didn’t break until this week after it was quietly announced in SAG after’s quarterly magazine. No cause was revealed, but we do know she was the definition of a working actor. Laura earned her first on-screen credit in 1990 and made dozens of guest appearances on fan favorite TV shows like ER, Grey’s Anatomy, Gilmore Girls, Beverly Hills 90210, and more. She had a 26 episode run on Young and the Restless. There was one interesting thing that we learned that we didn’t know before. Then in 2009, she put a curse on Allison Lman and dragged me to hell. It was really strange. The old woman, she took a button from my sleeve. Orion. Soon it will be you who comes begging to me. The whole rest of the movie, my character is being harassed by these demon spirits. I had no idea what I was getting into and it was only later that I saw the whole script went oh my god. The film which premiered in can was a critical and commercial hit earning over 90 million at the box office. ET was with Lorna at the Hollywood premiere. It’s a new area for me because I I had uh was not very wellversed in horror films before I did this. So, you might have to do this and you might have to do that and you’ll have to wear a funny eye and you’ll have to wear funny teeth. And I had to have a life cast made where they cover you, you know, your entire head in plaster. And since I’m a little claustrophobic, that scared me. It was a ball. I had a great time. Uh, I had no idea what to expect going into this, but I had a lot of fun doing it.
