Allison Stoner gets candid about their friendship with Demi Lovado. In their new memoir titled Semiuel Adjusted Despite literally everything, released August 12th, Allison details what it was like being close with Demi during their time in Disney Channel’s Camp Rock. Writing, “For several years, I felt suffocated under the weight of Demiy’s power and terrified of her PR team. The extreme remarks from her fan base and the way mass media gave a fabricated identity a life of its own.” According to Allison, the camp rock cast witnessed the struggles Demi, who has been open about her sobriety journey over the years, was facing, including when they joined the Jonas Brothers on their Jonas Brothers Live and concert tour. Writing of Demi, her mood swung unpredictably from euphoric to furious to dejected. The hardness in her eyes and bite to her speech that she formerly used to jokingly imitate Regina George from Mean Girls cemented as a fixed state. E! News has reached out to Demiy’s rep for comment, but has not yet heard back. And after 14 years of not speaking, the two caught up when Demi interviewed Allison for her 2024 documentary, Child Star, which explored the harsh realities young actors face growing up in the spotlight. With Allison saying of the conversation, Demi apologized, “And I didn’t realize that my teen self had been waiting on the doors stop to hear her say sorry ever since that tumultuous time. I had the chance to more fully understand and empathize with her excruciating experiences. As we explored the possibility of reconnection, we turned our eyes to protecting current and future generations from the same plights. [Music]

All I'm hearing is Alyson was jealous that demi got to get away with being a nightmare, and have a career. And it's true Demi was definitely a nightmare, but the root of this statement is jealousy. There's no consideration for demi or understanding that the team Alyson was so afraid (jealous) of protected demi's image but Alyson never once tries to mention or see that this same team was definitely abusing Demi and enabled her addiction especially during camp rock 2. I don't think Alyson was ever truly Demi's friend either I think she stayed in Demi's circle for fame and personal gain. A fake friend who hated and envied Demi quietly but pretended to like her

It seems that Alyson only talks a lot about Demi .. like camp rock and CR2 were the only films she did.. she was also in Step up through Step Up 5 as Channing lol sister and moose girl friend..
Pretty sure she said in an interview everyone knows what’s happening in the book before she wrote about it so they’re not surprised. I’m sure Demi knew cause Alyson told her already.
