Jesse Metcalfe Addresses Rumored ‘Desperate Housewives’ Cast Drama | E! News

Well, it appears Jesse Metaf was desperately unaware of the drama. While appearing on a recent panel, the actor who played teenage gardener John Roland on the soap opera Desperate Housewives claims he had no idea about the rumored tension on set, saying during the August 9th event, “There’s a lot of stories about all the drama on that set between some of our lead females.” And I was like, I was oblivious to it basically, you know, because I was just so thrilled to be on a show and just so in the moment. Jesse appeared on four seasons of the hit ABC series alongside main stars Evil Onoria, Felicity Huffman, Marsha Cross, Terry Hatcher, and Nichollet Sheridan, between whom the drama offscreen reportedly rivaled that on the show. However, the 46-year-old says that if there were issues on set, he probably didn’t notice as he was so focused on growing his budding acting career, explaining, “I tested for Desperate Housewives, which was a recast right at the end of that pilot season, and ended up booking it.
