They’ve been stepping up their murders of journalists in Gaza. This doesn’t bode well for me at all.
I feel genuinely nauseous reading this.
Saleh is one of the last ones left.
I read something interesting that’s changed the way I engage this ‘but Hamas’ talking point. Someone pointed we should not entertain the ‘but are they Hamas’ argument at all Israel uses because it is irrelevant… Israel has no right to be murdering Palestinians in Gaza or the West Bank (or others it labels ‘terrorists’ in Lebanon, Iran, Syria etc.). Targeted assassinations should not be normalized. On a side note there isn’t even international consensus that Hamas is a terrorist group given they are resisting a violent occupier in breech of international law which, they have the legal right to do. If we had leadership or media with a spine they would interrogate Israel’s pattern of extrajudicial murder and frame it as such without entertaining this propaganda.
Hasbara has been using his pictures for months now claiming that he’s a “pallywood actor” since he’s in multiple clips. Turned out he just looked similar and after it was confirmed several times they actually backed off and – oh sorry, no, they continued the same rampant lies.
Facing down your own death is unspeakably brave.
