Emmanuel Haro Kidnapping Case: Police Confront Mom Over “Inconsistencies” | E! News

The search for Emanuel Haro continues. Days after Rebecca Haro reported her seven-month-old son’s kidnapping in a California parking lot August 14th, investigators announced they cannot rule out foul play following quote inconsistencies found in Rebecca’s testimony. According to an August 16th press release, the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department says deputies in Ukipo were dispatched to a retail business after Rebecca Haro reported that while she stood outside her vehicle changing her child’s diaper, she was physically assaulted by an unknown male and rendered unconscious. When she awoke, her seven-month-old infant, Emanuel Haro, was gone. Despite deputies and K-9 units being dispatched to the county along with the neighboring Riverside County, authorities confirmed that Emanuel hasn’t been found. Due to the circumstances surrounding the baby’s disappearance, the sheriff’s specialized investigations division took over the case. The statement explains investigators interviewed multiple individuals, including Emanuel’s parents, Jake and Rebecca Haro. During those interviews, Rebecca was confronted with inconsistencies in her initial statement and declined to continue with the interview. Authorities affirmed their dedication to finding the baby while also emphasizing at this point in the investigation, investigators are unable to rule out foul play in the disappearance of Emanuel. According to local affiliate NBC4, the sheriff’s department visited the Haro family’s house on August 17th amid their ongoing investigation. Rebecca previously gave her account of the incident to NBC4 while noticeable bruising could be seen around her eye. I noticed the smell from my baby, so I wanted to change it before I walked into the store. I took him out of the car seat and I laid him on on the chair and I had his diapers right here and then someone said, “Hola and I couldn’t even turn and I was just I don’t remember nothing. I got up off the floor and I didn’t see my child. Someone took him from me.” Her husband Jake also spoke with the outlet. A little lazy eye. Uh what’s the only thing that’s distinctive about him that um he has no birth marks? Um like skin beautiful healthy baby boy 7 month old baby boy. E-news has reached out to the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department and Har’s attorney for comment and has not yet heard back. [Music]

    1. I think he beat the baby and the baby died. The mom knows, but he is threatening her not to tell. That bruise on her eye is probably from him. I would bet there has been DV going on with this family for a long time given his record smh poor baby 🙏💔😢

    2. How convenient the car park didnt have cameras. How convenient her partner has a history of abuse. No tears, Chris Watts all over again. When will these horror stories end? These naive "parents" believe they wont be found guilty, and police are gullible. Ridiculous. Humans can be so vile.

    3. Someone said "hola" then she blacked out? Ok crazy lady- way to play into racist crap- Mexicans have become the new black folks- sick
And very bad acting on top of it-

    4. I hope the world is wrong and the little boy is found alive and well. With the father's history and the horrible acting from the parents I don't think that's the case.

    5. “7 mo year old baby boy” — neither parent had a connection with their baby boy and while speaking about him, his “dad” has zero emotion — at least the “mom” is faking being breathless and emotional…with no tears

    6. ooo and she said she ran back to the car to call 911 — wouldn’t you just have the store call bc you’re so frantic you can’t think clearly…most people would collapse in this situation and not be able to function — let alone give breathless, tearless interviews where you keep looking down and gasping for breaks to think of what to say next and add small details like running back to the car to get your phone to call 911

    7. She doesn’t look like she was in any altercation or anything..and also you would still be able to smell the diaper she says she had to change..smdh..it’s very obvious she lying

    8. Why do they have to make announcements like that public? You would think they would keep their thoughts quiet until there's more evidence. This could be tainting a jury poole of it comes to that. Makes it feel like they're not really looking because they already think they know what happened. What if she is telling the truth?

    9. I can’t help but to feel incredibly saddened for this innocent baby boy and what he must of suffered by these monsters. He looks like he’s hurt in all the pictures they have showed of him.

    10. The parents have both referred to the child in the past tense, they killed the kid. The store also said the mother called the day before asking about parking lot cameras stating her vehicle was previously robbed. Yeah ok.
