      and 11 years ago she went against her own fans begging her not to perform in apartheid israel, she refused. and 3 years ago she signed an anti-BDS petition. people love her when she speaks up for LGBTQ rights, but have no smoke for her support of a country that’s murdered countless LGBTQ Palestinians and doesn’t even allow gay marriage. people love her when she immediately issues a statement in support of black lives matter, but have no smoke for her support of a white supremacist apartheid colony. pure zionist trash.

      I have such a vivid memory of watching the Miss Universe pageant with my mom (to this day, neither of us are sure why we were bc we only ever watched that one year) and seeing her perform Just Dance (with Akon I’m pretty sure) and saying “who is this lady?”. The next day I heard it on the way to and from dance class and they played it during our warm up and I was like “okay I like this Lady Gaga”.

      Each single won me over more and more and then a girl in my class told me to go and listen to her entire album because it was so good, she was absolutely correct.

      Still the only artist I will purchase whole albums for because I know I will love and regularly listen to 85% of the album. From 13 to now 30 🩷
