#6 (from the Thanksgiving parade I think?) is forever engrained in my mind
I feel like this was a once in a lifetime thing for the Disney Channel. I have no doubt that they will launch more careers (like Olivia Rodrigo and Sabrina Carpenter), but no matter what Disney does, they will never surpass the aesthetic of this era
The side bangs, the mini hair bumps/ pouffs, the flip phones…. take me back (not really lol)

I had Miley’s jacket in 16, in 2008 my friend and I stole it from a consignment store and then went back to my house and told my mom that my friend bought it for me for $20 and she gave her the money and we went to the movies lmao

I lived and breathed this stuff. I graduated from high school in 2008 so some of it was slightly below my age range and people would make fun of me for having “Nobody’s Perfect” as my MySpace song. But I stood my ground and was like “no you don’t they it. All if this stuff if going to be huge”.
I’m in the UK so Disney Channel was popular but not as big as in the US. I was known as the Disney girl in school for better or for worse. I would post the latest Jonas Brothers or Miley songs on my MySpace bulletin board for everyone in my class to watch.
Sometimes I run into people I went to school with and a few of them have said “I can’t hear a Miley or Selena song without thinking of you”. And that’s great because I’m 35 now and I feel like I have a legacy 😅

We definitely had the best childhood media wise. Disney channel had me SAT for every cross over episode, original movie, new episodes !!!
