So who defended Jacob Elordi’s bathwater?

    1. Saltburn’s bathwater became a meme. I wouldn’t call that defense. More importantly, any product that was sold in the aftermath wasn’t endorsed by Elordi like MAGA barbie here.

The key difference is here is that Elordi wasn’t involved with the bathwater candles.

Directly endorsing that changes things from a funny horny joke to an eyerolling marketing gimmick

I do think there’s a wider conversation about the differences of sexual marketing between men and women, and how men are often given more plausible deniability as such (hell, look at the Austin Butler shoot for Men’s Health lol), but this feels like a poor point for her to anchor too.

Which, for the record, is unsurprising considering how thin she has spread herself between an ungodly amount of movie and tv projects, and doing a ton of endorsements at once. She’s overexposed and found herself contorted in so many parts of the culture war

    3. Does she not understand that people were joking about the scene in Saltburn? And that Elordi didn’t actually try to sell bathwater afterward?

Sydney Sweeney blaming women for the backlash to her bathwater soap is peak hypocrisy. You can’t brand yourself as a conservative princess offscreen, sell sex to appeal to men onscreen, then cry “misogyny” the moment women call you out. Jacob Elordi never bottled and sold bathwater. You, on the other hand, tried to profit off a gross gimmick and now want to scapegoat women for not buying it. But what else could be expected from a MAGA woman who wants to cater to men?

    5. Maybe because Elordi’s was made by fans/small businesses as a joke/ref to his character/work. She’s was just cashing in on creeps loving her like no judgment, get that cash but don’t play the victim when you act like a pick me girl and alienate the vast majority of women, who don’t share your ‘blue jeans’.

    6. Can’t wait for her to start whining about being cancelled and then the Republican party starts bankrolling her to be a spokesperson for the new fascist regime

I am actually surprised so many well known actors are willing to be in projects with her. I feel like people should keep their distance from her because I think shit is gonna really hit the fan. Something else she is gonna do or say.

    8. It wasn’t bathwater either it was a candle that smelled like bathwater. She blames women too because she’s a right wing woman and they are pick me girls. Comparing selling a Candle to selling actual bathwater is dumb as fuck.

Well I just googled saltburn bathwater and that was my first mistake.

I hate everything about this. Sydney Sweeney, how far we’ve taken hustle culture and most of all that shit I just googled.

    10. The whole point of the bathwater scene was how creepily obsessed the guy was with him and it did not make me want to buy any product like he goes on the fuck the earth of his grave. Is that what Sydney Sweeney wants? She’s clearly doing more of a Belle Delphine egirl thirst trap thing, come on.

    11. What did he do, exactly? Cos I don’t recall him partnering w this guy
