I've been in your shoes. And won. And won. And won. Advice:
Answer in short, succinct sentences. BUT, if needed, lead the sentence to the next thought. Example:
"I've been an internationally recognized journalist for over 2 decades, and I can provide evidence to show this." then stop talking.
Remember you deserve respect. If a lawyer talks over you, turn to the judge and ask if you are able to finish your previous sentence. Don't get feisty, just report information without emotion.
Most importantly: Lead with heart and confidence. If you've done nothing wrong, you've done nothing wrong. Let that calm confidence lead you.

Manipulation and intimidation is her standard mode of operating…she uses these tactics against anybody and everybody to get exactly what she wants and how she wants it. Perez, get there super early for parking. Remove the opportunity for stressors like so. Ground yourself. Water mainly. MINIMAL caffeine. Be ready to feel potentially deflated about the outcome or lack of one after the hearing. Take your time. Don’t answer questions you don’t know. It’s all gonna be okay.
Supporters: judges are SUPER sensitive about making a circus of their courts. If you go, silence your cellphones, wear professional clothing, get there early to get through security and to find the room, do whatever the bailiff or judge tells you to do, DO NOT TALK IN THE COURTROOM, if you need/want to – whisper only. Look to see about recording ahead of time on the website. No need to get you all kicked out.
