Details surrounding the plot of “I Love LA” still remain sparing, with a logline that simply reads, “An ambitious friend group navigates life and love in LA.”
Sennott, who created and executive produces the series, stars as Maia. The cast also includes Jordan Firstman as Charlie, Josh Hutcherson as Dylan, Odessa A’zion as Tallulah and True Whitaker as Alani, with guest stars including Leighton Meester, Moses Ingram, Lauren Holt, Elijah Wood, Quenlin Blackwell, Josh Brener, Tim Baltz, Froy Gutierrez and Colin Woodell.

feels like a pass for me unless I hear some good word of mouth from people whose taste I trust 🤔 This might work for me in previous years, but 2025 isn’t the vibe for it.
I feel like “untitled rachel sennott project” sounded better. Kinda how High School Musical was just a placeholder title but eventually they gave up on choosing a better title
I’ll check it out because I love Josh Hutcherson. However, as a whole, I get annoyed by shows about LA. They always scream ‘Transplant in heavily gentrified area trying to figure out life’ which is fine, but, I think “Love” already did that.
(I’m also an LA native and people always stereotype/group us as a monolith)
Edited for spelling
I’m a bit sick of shows about LA/showbiz but I love Rachel Sennott so will be sat against my will
So it’s a series encapsulating all of the worst aspects of LA?
No shade but these pictures have already exhausted me.
I’ve often described the industry/influencer transplant community as a collective of the most annoying people I’ve ever come across, and this seems like it will be a fun show for them.
I am strongly skeptical of anyone who played a major role in “the Idol”.
Sooo is this basically “Girls” for Gen Z based in LA?

The pics just make me want to watch Broad City again
Sounds very generic. Rachel Sennott is a great talent but this sounds quite bland and generic HBO-comedy with raunchy nudity and too much swearing.
Not enough brown ppl
Well, she wrote Bottoms, one of the funniest movies of all time, so I’ll at least give the pilot a try.
so basically a longform version of [this](https://www.youtube.com/shorts/G6Ia9DgPBTY)?
no
Kinda don’t need another rich, white, skinny, cis ppl show —especially in somewhere as diverse as LA
Damn. TV is finally giving us a story we’ve never gotten to hear. Wannabe entertainers in LA? Did they get Phillip K. Dick, Isaac Asimov, and Jules Verne together to come up with a premise that unique and original????
I’m being facetious, really. I like Sennott and I think her performance in Bodies, Bodies, Bodies is one of the top comedic performances of the decade.
But this does feel like a network approached a star and said “We’ll make whatever idea you have!” and the star just didn’t really have anything.
Perhaps they could have hooked her up with a writer to create something actually new?

[Come on! It’s LA!](https://www.youtube.com/shorts/G6Ia9DgPBTY)
Honestly I feel so over the same groups of actor/influencers who are all friends IRL just bringing the exact same dynamic to the screen, and basically just playing caricatures of themselves – like idk it just feels like they’re putting on a play for each or something! Like a bit of a circle jerk vibe 🙃 Not sure how much broad appeal this will have tbh
I always confuse her and Michaela Diamond with each other
Imagine if Lena Dunham was likable and lived in LA!
This looks like a show about the worst kind of people in LA….but i dont think it’s satire…
Hope this is good! We need more comedies.
Bottoms was one of my favorite movies of the year when it came out but I find her whole thing kind of tiring. Don’t know why. I just feel tired when I see her
NYC transplant makes a show about being an LA transplant
