For some reason, my high school decided this would be the perfect movie to take my entire grade eight cohort to.
Trying to corrall a hundred *violently* sobbing thirteen year old girls out of the cinema and onto the buses was *not* an easy task. I think the teachers ended up just as traumatised as the rest of us.

The first book that ever made me cry! My son and I watched the movie a few months ago and it was the first movie to make him cry! 😭❤️

This movie, Marley and Me, The Neverending Story, Old Yeller… It seems Hollywood is hell bent on wrecking kids one generation at a time 😭
This book caused deep emotional trauma when I read it as a child, but I could not put the book down. I don’t even remember the plot, just that I was sobbing at the ending.

This book was assigned reading in my elementary school way back in the day*. The trauma started early.
*The day was in the 80s, which was only 20 years ago. The 90s were only 10 years ago. I’m not old and losing my mind from the trauma, I swear!

The commercials for this movie made it seem like it was going to be the next Chronicles of Narnia.
**Narrator’s voice:** *It was not.*

As an old I think this is the first movie to make me cry. I definitely cried at My Girl, but this is the one I get chocked up with the gif.
