Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s forever love story starts now. The couple confirms they’re engaged after two years of dating. In an Instagram post, Taylor and Travis reveal the happy news with a series of dreamy photos showing the Kansas City Chief star popping the question in a gorgeous garden setting. The caption reads, “Your English teacher and your gym teacher are getting married.” The exciting update comes after Taylor and her lover began their enchanted romance back in July of 2023. Fans will remember that the Chief star tried to shoot his shot with the singer, attending her Aerys tour show at Arrowhead Stadium. While that didn’t work out, he talked about his failed plan on his podcast, which did get Taye’s attention. As Taylor later told Time magazine, “This all started when Travis very adorably put me on blast on his podcast, which I thought was metal as hell.” Their first public appearance was in September when Taylor showed up to watch Trav play, effectively bringing Swifty Mania to the NFL. I hope it works out for them, America doesn't have the best track record when it comes to marriage sustainability. It's not like back in the day when couples stuck it out through thick & thin. In todays society, the least little thing happens, couples are ready to throw in the towel. America has the highest divorce rate of any industrialized country in the world. My parents were married for 45 years before my mother passed, and then my father a couple years later. It's rare to see that level of commitment in todays world. 🙁
