Wednesday star Katherine Zeta Jones is sharing how she relates to Morticia Adams. Although the actress who shares kids Dylan and Caris with husband Michael Douglas may not share the same morbid interests as Morticia, she does understand her as a mother. Catherine explains to today.com in an interview published on August 26th. There are many times I’ve been thinking I’m putting an old head on young shoulders when my daughter or my son has done something. Sometimes you have to step back and let them just do that in parenting. The 55-year-old adds, “There’s a part of Morticia that wants Wednesday to be exactly how she is. There’s a strength to this young woman. She has all the outcast attributes and the abilities that are part of Morticia’s world, but there’s a defiance that Morticia never had that Wednesday has.” And while speaking about executive producer Tim Burton’s vision for the Netflix series, Katherine says it was really important to Tim Burton when making this adaptation of the Adams family that they still felt like real people. He wanted there to be a tether and a groundedness to the real world. [Music] [Music]
