      legit can’t believe it’s been 61 years. Mary Poppins is such a timeless gem, hands down.

      I love the way Dick Van Dyke acknowledged the horrors of his accent! What an all around performer he was/is.

      What I love most about this film is that it was filmed in Technicolor, which wasn’t unusual for its time or anything, but it’s just so lush to look at. I love how it made the yellows look a tiny bit green. I LOVE the colouring of the carousel ponies. It’s just really visually beautiful. Ugh, and the Bird Seed Lady song always makes me cry.
