      Jelena is the one without class! Taylor handled this racism and bullying with class and dignity, she’s a better person than me! I would’ve seen red

      Jelena has so many of these instances of being a sore loser. Taylor handled this perfectly and has been a class act throughout. Even in the video you can see her trying to have an adult dialogue w/ Jelena.

      I have never heard of either of these people (that’s on me, I don’t follow any sports) and have zero context outside of the headline but when I played the video, every dog on my street started losing their shit. Weird.

Also, Jelena’s statement doesn’t really deny that she’s a racist and writing “I was NEVER racist in my life” unfortunately appears like she wasn’t a racist but is one now (though I will give her the benefit of the doubt that it’s due to English not being her first language)

      I’ve seen so many tweets saying “why is everything about race?” … well this about race. Whether people accept it or not, those comments and her aggression towards Taylor are rooted in racism. Jelena would not call another white player classless and uneducated. Now she is victimizing herself on her ig stories. Her defensive and dismissive response tells me everything I need to know about Jelena’s character and how she views racism.

      I know nothing about her, yet the way Taylor handled herself and this situation with grace is amazing, I like her already!

      While Ostapenko is a repeat offender of poor sportsmanship, brattyness, and classlessness, this is the most egregious she’s been in a confrontation.

      Usually it’s a shitty handshake (if she does shake her opponent’s hand) or muttering some bullshit under her breath. I can’t recall her being all up in and a pointing a finger in another player’s face
