Interesting premise! Considering how well she wrote her memoir, I’m interested to see how Jennette fares in fiction.

    2. I look forward to this.

Her memoir was excellent but oof, that was a tough read. Her mother was a piece of work but the backdrop of 2000s/2010s and the obsession with thinness and youth just amplified everything she went through even more. I don’t know how any child actors came out of that era unscathed.

    3. Like many others, I was GLUED to I’m Glad My Mom Died because it was so well written.

I wish her all the success as a fiction author.

Really interested to see where she goes with this foray into fiction.

This isn’t a reflection on her, but I’m super side-eyeing PRH’s blurb that says “a sad, funny, and thrilling novel that follows a seventeen-year-old girl named Waldo as she navigates an affair with her teacher, exploring the complexities of desire, power, and self-discovery.” That’s not an affair, that’s abuse.
