George Clooney Drops Out of Venice Film Festival Amid Illness | E! News

George Clooney is under the weather. The actor has dropped out of several events at the Venice Film Festival due to illness. A rep for the Oceans 11 star confirms to People magazine that Clooney, who was noticeably absent from the film’s press conference, is missing out on promoting his film Jay Kelly due to a bad sinus infection. E-News has reached out to Revs for Clooney, but has not yet heard back. According to a festival moderator per deadline, the 64year-old should be attending the August 28th premiere of the film, which he co-stars in alongside Adam Sandler, Laura Durn, Riley Kio, and more. Co-star Adam Sandler joking to the outlet that even movie stars get sick. While Laura Durn admits she’d be devastated if he weren’t there. Hopefully, George can rally. He and wife Amal made a very glamorous entrance to the opening of the film fest, arriving by boat. Amal looking like sunshine wearing a butter yellow ballain dress with a chunky belt while George keeps it casual in khakis and a black polo. In George’s new film Jay Kelly which hits Netflix in December the actor plays the title character which focuses on a famous actor who according to Netflix embarks on a journey of self-discovery confronting both his past and present accompanied by his devoted manager Ron played by Adam Sandler.
