Karen Read Voices Disapproval of TV Series About Her Murder Trials

Karen Reed is speaking out
about the just announced TV series about her notorious murder trials, and she’s not happy. I have nothing to do with that. It’s not authorized by me in any way. Elizabeth Banks is set to play. Karen in the new drama series
for Prime tv, the Real Life. Karen Reed says, the
52-year-old actress is too old. This happened, this, this
nightmare started when I was 42, so she’d be playing someone
10 years younger. She Had no idea this was coming. This is not her project. Karen spoke to radio host Howie Carr. It’s her first interview since
she was acquitted back in June of the murder of her boyfriend, Boston Cop, John O’Keefe. Cops say she hit him with
her car in a drunken rage and left him to die in a snowbank. What is she up to?
What’s her life like now and what’s next for Karen Reed? She, she had to sell her house. She’s living with her parents
and she’s basically broke. She has to make the money some way and movie writes, book rights. That’s, that’s the only, only option she’s really
got at this point. Reed and her attorney,
Alan Jackson, sold the rights to their story to
another Hollywood studio, not the Elizabeth Banks project, and they seem more than a little miffed. This is Karen Reed’s story to tell it’s not Hollywood’s story, to, to make up and to fill in blanks. And so it, it’s a little
bit of a shame that, that she was never even
consultant, never even contacted. I would think she’d
have reached out to us. She knows who our contacts are and yeah, we’re not hard to find.
