Gordon Ramsay Shares Skin Cancer Diagnosis

Gordon Ramsay is opening up about a recent health battle. The celebrity chef takes to Instagram August 30th to share he’s been diagnosed with skin cancer. Writing alongside a photo of a bandage on his face, “Grateful and so appreciative for the incredible team at the skin associates and their fast reactive work on removing this basilc cell carcinoma. Thank you.” According to the Mayo Clinic, basilc cell carcinoma is a type of skin cancer caused by long-term exposure to ultraviolet radiation from the sun. And while the 58-year-old seems to be doing well following the procedure, he ends the post with some important advice to followers for Labor Day, saying, “Please don’t forget your sunscreen this weekend.” And this brush with skin cancer is just the latest health scare the father of six has shared with fans. Last year, Gordon revealed he had been involved in a serious bicycle accident, showing the massive bruise he sustained from the crash in a June 15th IG post. Um, this week, unfortunately, I had a really bad accident. Um, and it really shook me. I’m lucky to be standing here. I’m in pain. It’s been a brutal week and I’m sort of getting through it. But, um, I cannot tell you the importance of wearing a helmet. [Music]
