“I’m very transparent, I write songs.” I think this kind of behavior from artists is so sad, really. When Sabrina was attacked by Olivia Rodrigo’s fans in 2021 she wrote a song about what she was going through because it was not fair. Now that she is a big artist she feels okay someone else is going through the same because of her. It’s a never ending cycle. One person making another person suffer and saying “it’s not on me I never asked my fans to do this” yeah but you let them for a petty revenge. It’s crazy that we put people like this on pedestals. Sabrina’s music is great, and I listen to it all the time but sometimes we need to separate the art from the artist.
She is such a hypocrite it wasn’t fun for her to get the level of hate she was getting when the same thing happened to her and no one said anything. But now it’s Barry it’s fine and fun to not say a thing and watch someone be relentlessly bullied ???
It sounds that Mr. Barry dodged a bullet, she doesn't sound very mature… almost like she enjoys weaponizing her fans.
She got into a relationship with a guy who was already in another very serious relationship and JUST had a baby, then she writes songs about how bad he was, you can't make this up. She doesn’t feel bad that he's getting attacked by her fans, yet she WAS hurt when she was getting the same treatment from Olivias fans. I don't like Barry at all or defend anything he might have done, but this woman is a huge hypocrite here 🙂

As an artist I do understand writing songs about your experience but I also understand you can use code. You could wrote a song about a puppy or a state without ANYONE tying in "Oh, white jacket, thick accent! Must be Barry!" You know? Many have done it before. Good for her for giving men the hands up BUT I will say that if men wrote songs so obviously about their exes the way that women do, they would be dragged for filth. Again, write your truth but I do feel like we can be classy and keep it more coded. That's all, cus the gag is she dated him. You saw something good in him regardless of what made them call it quits.
