and this is why I think it’ll die on the third season or something. I know the average person who will watch this doesn’t know about her craziness or doesn’t give a flying fuck about trans rights, but they do have a short attention span (as many do now alas), a deep attachment to the original IP (both books and movies) and lack the intense loyalty to keep watching this show if it does end up being mediocre or outright crappy. we can’t count on people’s morals to dictate their wallet usage but bore them and they’re gone. although this may be wishful thinking!
i feel like this show was made for millennial parents who want to force their kids to like the same media they did
i can’t see many actual kids being hyped for this, Harry Potter really isn’t that popular with kids anymore.
I don’t know and I won’t be finding out because I won’t be watching it.
From what I know about Warwick Davis as a person I wouldn’t be shocked if he actually demanded this of the studio.

what is the point of doing a remake like 10-20 years after the original? it took them like 10 years to make the first batch so it’s like they started the remake right after they finished it. why not make something fresh with a fresh property??? I wrote HBO an angry email when they said they were doing a Harry Potter show and I hope the show BOMBS for numerous reasons. will not be watching it.
Warwick Davis runs an agency for actors with dwarfism, he could’ve given someone new the opportunity whilst avoiding the controversy at the same time, eurgh
I feel like this series is gonna bomb so hard. The amount of people I saw bullying the kid who plays Harry (based on one picture of him in costume) is so concerning. Really hope the child stars have down-to-earth, supportive parents.

The only reason the show is being made is so JK Rowling can get more money to find her hate filled anti-trans rhetoric, and to displace the original 3 actors who have all denounced her publicly.

This is a silly question bc I have read the books as an adult quasi-recently. Is it canon/specifically stated that Flitwick is a dwarf? The way he’s written (that I recall) he could just be a mousy, small man. Maybe it is mentioned somewhere and I missed it.
