Bryan Kohberger’s Mom Texted Him About Idaho Murders Before His Arrest | E! News
Brian Cobberger’s mom texted him about the Idaho murders before his arrest. Four days after Cobberger murdered four University of Idaho students in November 2022, for which he’s serving four consecutive life sentences, his mom had reached out with information about one of the victims, Xanna Kernodal. According to a forensic expert who examined Brian’s phone and hard drive, Jared Barnhart, who led the forensic team alongside Heather Barnhart, explained on the September 2nd episode of NewsNation’s Banfield, “November 17th stands out a little bit. He had more mother interaction that day than normal, which was a lot. He was on the phone with her for hours that day.” He continued, “That night, he received a link from his mom, and the link was to a news article basically describing how Zana had bruises on her body and how she had put up such a fight. There was no response, no text back.” Jared revealed that looking at the timeline of their exchange, Brian, who was arrested in December 2022 for the November 13th murders, and his mother, Maryanne, were also actually speaking on the phone. He explained they were talking about the Idaho murders on that night and then the next morning there’s just kind of nothing. Although Maryanne hasn’t spoke out since her son’s conviction, she did make an appearance at his July 23rd sentencing which took place weeks after Brian pleaded guilty to the crimes in exchange for taking the death penalty off the table as a possible sentence. So he's a PhD criminology student and everything he does (eats, drinks, sleeps) is predicated on crime and talks to his mom 24/7 but when she sends him a story about one of the homicide victims in nearby Moscow 9 miles away that everyone in America knows about he goes CRICKETS Shhh quiet. Maybe he was out star gazing at the moon or going on one of his hikes when she asked him about the murders.

Really? Her son who is studying criminology and lives close to crime scene so she mentions it. Does this mean the child of any parent who made contact with them about the case is guilty too?
When will you be discussing information coming out of police documents that you continue to ignore, include the following. This is their black and white facts and words.
1) car looping neiborhood and report from officers working overtime undercover where they state they were looping neighborhood at same time as suspect but only one pale color car on security footage and they make no mention of seeing Bryan. They were the looping car.
2) Police report of red stuff found in adjacent apartmen belong to a JS. Defense were still chasing results in July 2024 and then advised as per another report that the fridge it was in had gone off.
3) testimony from lead detective about them loosing the security camera footage that would have shown unequivocally whether Kohbergers car was on roads to the park as per his alibi. Not one cameras footage but all of it.
4) police report from search of BK storage locker they found door ajar.
5) multiple police reports of tip offs about possible weapons found and not followed up promptly
6) police report of the highly important lightbulb security camera footage and chain of custody that was mismanaged. Multiple people outside of investigation were viewing it and sharing it. They were not able to read the data thingy given to them so returned it but then had to get camera owner to bring it again.
7) prosecution stated only that it "appeared" his phone was switched off and that his phone pinged 25 times ever off cell tower that included the house and most of Moscow where there are shops, gas stations etc. Often there are bank store to match. Never a Dickies jumpsuit etc.
8) where is the sheath? So many photographs released but no sheath. No time/date stamped bodycam image. Just nothing.
9) bank security camera footage and statements that show Bryan visited the bank at 9.30am on morning of incident then return straight home. He wasn't anywhere near the house as claimed.
10) door dash drivers original testimony she makes no mention of seeing Bryan security footage of her at the property she has no food in hand.
11) various police statements from DM are contradictory, in particular where bushy eyebrows were suggested to her, she didn't recognize Bryans photo and where she admits hearing everything and seeing Xana lying on floor with horrendous injuries we know she had.
12) reports from two detectives who "found" sheath differ as to where and how.
13) Bryan was never seen putting trash in a neighbors bin and he was wearing yellow rubber gloves to sort his families trash as is required by local authority rules.
