My biggest celebrity passing. I’m glad I grew up with the Irwin’s. They taught me compassion and empathy when my parents wanted to eliminate those traits. I’m proud of who I am because of the Irwin family.

So young to lose this icon. Huge respect for Terri carrying on their life works and raising two good eggs. He surely would be proud.

I know we don’t know our idols and parasocial relationships are reaching toxic levels but to my core I believe he fiercely cared about this world, the animals and his impact on the conservation movement. He was gone too soon.

Didn’t have cable growing up, so any time I got in the vicinity of a television I’d try to cram in as much Crocodile Hunter as I could. Can’t believe it’s been that long. I’m sure he’d be so proud to see his wife and kids today.

I remember this so vividly, because I was boarding a flight with my fiancé on our way to get married when the news broke. I was so happy and also really sad bc everyone loved Steve Irwin, he was a treasure. Sending lots of love to his family 🩷🐊

This was devastating. We need more people like him in this world, not less. But he did leave this world a better place because he was in it.

Losing him was such a blow to the world. For me, it’s up there with other major tragedies in that I remember where I was when I learned the news
