The Cast of ‘My Life with the Walter Boys’ Reacts to ‘The Summer I Turned Pretty’ Comparisons

The summer I turned pretty. Obviously, as that show’s wrapping up, you guys are coming out. Do you see the resemblance? I can see it for sure. I think I think it that’s a great show. And I think our show is similar, but it’s also different. Not for better or for worse. Like once you get past the love triangle, I think there’s a really different presence of everything else that goes on. The towns are very different. The like socioeconomic situations of each world. I mean, we’re talking about like where people vacation in their thing, which is equally as dramatic. And then we’re talking about a town where like people don’t go on vacations. Yeah. People don’t know what that’s like. Do you lean into the fandom of team Alex, team Cole, back in your own brother, or you rooting for the other? We just lean on each other. We don’t lean into this. We We lean on each other. And I’m team Ashby and team Nikki.

    1. MLWTWB is a great show in it’s own right. Plus Jason Priestly directs a lot of the episodes in this new season so… no wonder I am hooked. He’s the main man of the love triangle back in the day! 😅 😂 I miss Brandon & Dylan! Love & miss you, Luke Perry ❤😢 Love Jason! Amazing actor & director. ❤

    2. This series is not looking back much about the past, but in “This Summer” series they were already connected by their parent’s friendship, and sometimes the problem is coming out based on the past.

    3. i feel another difference is in tsitp there is obviously a good and a bad side, but in mlwtwb they are both equal, no brother is yet worse than the other (just my opinion)
