Bringing Up Bates Alum Erin Bates Is “On the Road to Recovery” After Septic Shock Battle
Aaron Bates is on the road to recovery. After experiencing complications from the birth of her seventh baby named Henry, Aerin’s husband, Chad Payne, shares the heartwarming update that she is on the mend. As he writes alongside a video of the mom of seven holding her newborn with tears in our eyes, we are praising the Lord that we are on the road to recovery. Your prayers have definitely touched heaven. Aaron was admitted to the ICU shortly after giving birth to Henry on August 25th. And according to Chad, who also shares kids Carson, Brooklyn, Everly, Holland, Finley, and William with Aaron, the 34 year old’s labor was quote longer and more intense than previous births. Writing on September 1st, Aaron developed a severe UTI and kidney infection, which sent her into septic shock. And days later, Chad shared another update that Aaron had suffered a quote lengthy and severe seizure, explaining, “Aaron is extremely weak and spent hours only halfconscious. as her husband. It is one of the hardest things I’ve ever faced to sit by her side and watch her struggle while being so helpless to ease her suffering. He continued, “I love her more deeply than words can express, and I can’t even imagine life without my best friend. The hours have been long and heavy, and I know many hearts are aching to see her this way along with mine. [Music]

I'm sorry that she experienced what she did… but the body can only take so much… will you please consider a type of birth control that will prevent this type of outcome. Seriously, if this isn't a wake up call for the both of you… then please consider your young children without a mother. You want Erin alive and well!

After surviving septic shock, many people experience long-term physical, cognitive, and psychological changes known as Post-Sepsis Syndrome (PSS). While some may recover completely, many others will never fully return to their previous state of health.
