Why Bad Bunny Didn’t Attend MTV VMAs 2025 | E! News

Bad Bunny was a no-show at the 2025 MTV VMAs in New York. Here’s why. The Moscow Mule singer skipped the award show while the singer was not on stage at the UBS Arena. The singer was busy performing on stage during the latest concert of his residency in San Juan, Puerto Rico. Though the rapper may have injured himself shortly before the string of performances comes to a close. Videos circulated across social media show the 31-year-old jumping on stage before suddenly stopping, grabbing his knee, and limping off stage. While Bad Bunny skipped the MTV VMAs, he was recognized at the music awards show, including nominations in the artist of the year, best album, best long- form video, and best Latin song categories. And while the Puerto Rican singer has become a fixture at big Hollywood events, he’s explained he doesn’t need public acceptance to feel successful, telling Harper’s Bizaarre in 2022, “Maybe at the very beginning of my career, I tried to pretend I was something that I’m not, but I learned that that’s the way artists lose themselves.
