Watch Prince Harry’s Playful Balloon Sword Fight w/ 9-Year-Old
No, just touch it. You go, whoa. Prince Harry showed off his playful side during his recent outing. The 40-year-old royal stepped out on September 8th for the 20th anniversary WellChild Awards ceremony, the UK’s national charity that supports seriously ill children. The royal has been a patron of the organization since 2007 and met young winners and their families on Monday. During the outing, his playful personality was on full display as he played a balloon sword fight with nine-year-old Gwen Foster. Listen, if you’re going to challenge me to a sword fight, you don’t know how to do it. Yeah. Yeah. Ready? No, just touch it. There you go. Whoa. [Music] Is that it? The sweet moment was a throwback to Harry’s playful energy during his previous royal engagements and were a sweet nod to his late mother, Princess Diana, who always try to have fun while meeting people at events. Harry will be in the UK for 4 days, making it his longest trip back home in some time. NBC’s royal contributor Emily Nash spoke about the significance of Harry’s visit outside of Buckingham Palace. Well, Harry comes back every year for the Wellchild Awards. He’s been patron of this charity for sick children for 17 years now and it’s their 20th anniversary year, so he was never going to miss it. Um, so it made sense to build in some other engagements around this visit and to spend time with the people that he deals with usually virtually, seeing them face to face. Before attending the WellChild Awards, the Duke of Sussex paid his respects to his late grandmother, Queen Elizabeth, by laying a wreath on her grave. While chatting with NBC News, Emily revealed if she thinks Harry is resetting connections in the UK with his family and other organizations. I think this is about Harry reestablishing his connections with his UK-based charities and patronages. Of course, he’s made no secret of the fact that he would love to be reunited with his family and his father in particular. Now, we think that could be a possibility. However, when it comes to Prince William, relations between them are still incredibly strained. They don’t have any direct contact. So, I would I wouldn’t imagine that that would be on the cards this week. Emily also explained how Harry would eventually want to bring his family, Megan Markle, Prince Archie, and Princess Lily, to the UK more often. Well, we’ve known for some time that Harry would love to come back to the UK more often, and he really wants to be able to bring his family back. He had a big lawsuit against the home office here which he lost. But I understand that he is still keen to find a way for his security provision to be altered. So he feels comfortable to bring uh Archie and Libbert and Megan back to the UK in future. [Music]

this is internet gold 💝🐱
the wildest thing i’ve seen all week 😻👅
Hope Harry reconciles with Charles and William. Not a good look for the Royals to be unforgiving. Diana would be heartbroken.
