Country Singer Drake White’s Daughter Dies at 29 Weeks | E! News

Country singer Drake White and his wife, Alex White, are mourning a heartbreaking loss. On Instagram, September 7th, the couple share their daughter, Dela Elizabeth White, died minutes after being born August 31st at just 29 weeks. Their caption reads, “On Sunday, August 31st, our precious daughter, Dela Elizabeth White, went peacefully to be with Jesus. We are so thankful for the holy moments God gave us with her. The Lord has been so near and close to us during this difficult time. He has held us up and sustained us through it all. We are heartbroken and soul tired. But we know we will get through this difficult time with the strength, peace, and joy that only our heavenly father can provide. May Dela be held in the arms of Jesus until we see her again someday. Drake and Alex, who included a black and white photo of themselves holding their baby girl in their post, went on to share two Bible verses in their tribute. Psalm 34:18, which reads, “The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.” And Psalm 31:10 14 and 15, which is a prayer of trust in God. The parents share one son together, William Hawk White, who was born in January of 2023. [Music]
