From liposuction to celibacy: every bombshell from Charlie Sheen’s new memoir ‘The Book of Sheen’

Charlie Sheen is back in the spotlight. This time not for a headlinemaking scandal, but for the stories he’s finally telling himself. In his brand new memoir, The Book of Sheen, the actor opens up about decades of chaos, addiction, and hard-earned sobriety. For starters, Sheen says he’s been celibate for nearly a decade. After a lifetime defined by excess, from infamous Playboy Mansion parties to his Tiger Blood days, the star says he hit pause. No girlfriends since sobriety, no flings, no purchases, and he surprisingly doesn’t regret it. It was a needed break, he says, adding that he’d welcome companionship again down the line. Drugs, of course, dominate the memoir. Sheen admits to cocaine, crack, and everything in between, except one. He says ketamine was never his color, even as he watched friends experiment, including Matthew Perry, whose overdose death shook him deeply. Sheen recalls devouring Perry’s memoir in one sitting, even laughing when he found his own name in it. He almost reached out to Perry for coffee. Three weeks later, Perry was gone. But if one moment defines Sheen’s turnaround, it’s with his daughter Sammy. In 2017, after downing whiskey laced coffees and realizing he couldn’t drive her to an appointment, Sheen saw the disappointment in her eyes. He writes, “There was only one thing that felt worse than betraying myself, and that was failing my children.” The very next day, he quit. He’s been sober ever since. Sobriety didn’t come without challenges like weight gain. Sheen confesses that after a sex worker called him fatso in Toronto, he was so devastated he booked lipos suction the very next week. It’s a brutally honest detail he admits sent him into a spiral of shame, though not enough to stop him from round two that night. The memoir doesn’t shy away from Hollywood highs or ugly lows. his firing from Two and a Half Men, the public meltdowns, the Vatican assassin warlock sound bites. But Sheen insists on one theme: choices. He doesn’t want to be painted as a victim. Instead, he frames his life as a story of a little kid just trying to find his way home. At 60, with 8 years sober and a new outlook on life, Charlie Sheen is telling his own story before anyone else can. And for a man who’s had nine lives, he’s just hoping this 10th one finally sticks.

Charlie Sheen’s new memoir, “The Book of Sheen,” is packed with numerous revelations; from his decade of celibacy to the liposuction he secretly got after a stinging insult. He also opens up about the heartbreaking moment with his daughter Sami that pushed him to get sober, plus the wild drug-fueled years that nearly cost him everything.
