Scarlett Johansson Details “Hectic” Back-to-School Season With Kids | E! News

Every time you hit the carpet, I go, “How does she keep doing it? You look beautiful.” Thank you. You always look like a goddess. Oh my gosh. Thank you. Congratulations on your directorial debut. I’m so proud of you from seeing you start when you were 9 years old and now look at you now directing Eleanor the Great. I want to ask you, what was your favorite memory from being on set or this entire experience? Oh my, I have so many wonderful memories of being on set. I think um I you know honestly just I made this film with uh my producing partner Jonathan Leah and our uh and our other partner Keenan Flynn and we laughed so much behind the like cuz it’s just it’s the film is very moving. There’s a lot of you know very deep um you know deep dramatic work that the actors are doing and then in between all of that like you have to laugh because otherwise you cry and so we were just like in hysterics all the time. So just being with my friends and making this movie was just every day was wonderful and fun. Hold that thought. Excuse me. The other guy brought the water but no straws. Oh, we actually don’t have straws. It’s like an environmental thing. This diner has a political agenda. What does it take to build the perfect solid bond according to Scarlett Johansson? To build the bond. Yes. Oh. To between people. Friends. Oh, friends. Family. The perfect bond. Um, trust, man. It’s all about trust. That’s how you build a perfect bond. Okay. I like that. Final question for you. Your kids, are they going to watch this film? And how and we have to ask about going back to school. How’s this season? You’re busy mom, but also you got kids going to school. So hectic. Oh my gosh. Yeah, it’s been it’s a it was a my daughter’s school started the day after Labor Day, which I think is rude actually. And so I’m calling out her school. It’s rude. Uh you started the day after Labor Day. I was not prepared. Um but yeah, it’s uh yeah, it’s it’s been a it’s been a very very busy time. Um but it’s incredibly exciting to be here at TIFF and I can’t wait to see it on this massive screen. [Music]
