Xan Kernodal’s mom isn’t holding on to her anger. It’s been nearly three years since Cara Northington’s daughter along with boyfriend Ethan Chapen and roommates Madison Boen and Kaylee Gonzalez were brutally murdered by Brian Coberger at their University of Idaho residence during a Bible study at Alter Church September 6th per the spokesman review. Cara shares her feelings toward the convicted killer saying, “I don’t hate Brian Coberger.” She adds she is washing her hands of Brian occupying space in her mind. Though Cara’s path was anything but straightforward, having what she says a 30-year struggle with drug addiction at the time of the murders and spending time in jail in the year after the killings, she says, “The Lord just had me surrender at all, and I did, and I haven’t gone back.” Cara’s admission comes 2 months after she spoke at Brian’s sentencing, saying, “Jesus has allowed me to forgive you for murdering my daughter without you even being sorry.” or ask him for this.
