Hollywood stars Emma Stone, Olivia Colman, Mark Ruffalo, and many others have joined the growing boycott of Israeli film institutions. Many Hollywood figures, including well-known actors and filmmakers, have pledged to boycott the growing Israeli movie industry in response to the humanitarian crisis in Gaza. Over 1,800 actors, entertainers, and producers, including some Hollywood stars, signed a pledge released on September 8 to not work with Israeli film institutions that they see as being complicit in the abuse of Palestinians by Israel. Signatories included actors Olivia Colman, Emma Stone, Mark Ruffalo, Tilda Swinton, Riz Ahmed, Javier Bardem, and Cynthia Nixon, among others.
