Why Jennifer Aniston CRIED On ‘The Drew Barrymore Show’
Oh my god, that really was a that’s that’s a surprise. Uh, a sweet gesture from Drew Barrymore really warmed Jennifer Anderson’s heart. While Jyn was appearing on the Drew Barrymore show on Friday, they played a game where an audience member had to guess which actress played Jyn’s grandmother in the 2005 film Rumor Has It. The answer was, of course, the legendary Shirley Mlan. And it turns out Drew had enlisted the 91year-old actress and her daughter for a special surprise. So wild. What is Shirley Mlean like? Oh, in which lifime. Wonderful. Exactly. I was going to say which lifetime are we talking about? She believes that we were a mother and daughter in a previous lifetime. Really? Yes. Well, that’s and I think it’s why we have such we had such an instant bond. She she’s just fantastic. It’s so funny because she’s with her daughter um actually right here. Go ahead. Hi crew. And hi Jen. It’s so great to see you there. Hi Jennifer. Sorry to interrupt. Mom, it’s so nice to meet you virtually. I just wanted to tell you Jen, I’ll never forget how professional you were during the time we were making. Rumor has it. You were really wonderful to work with. I want to tell you congratulations from 20 years ago. Oh my god, that really was a that’s that’s a surprise. Uh, as if Jennifer’s heart wasn’t already bursting at the seams, Drew also brought out a puppy she’s been fostering. And the cuteness was overwhelming. Can I ask her about that so much? I was with her when my dog passed away. Sorry. And I was at her ranch in New Mexico doing a past life regression retreat, which sounds crazy when I say it like that. I’m actually um fostering a dog right now, and I was I wanted to show him to you and see what you thought. Oh, stop this. This is a foster dog that we’re fostering and I’m just Are you going to have a foster fail? Maybe. I I’m worried I’m going to have a foster fail already. The kids are like, “Please, he has to stay.” And I’m like, “Well, it really depends on Douglas.” And I think I think they are the boss. And he’s very submissive. Okay. So, you’re beta. You just need to learn a little. He’ll just put you in your place and you’ll figure it out. You’ll just learn the ropes. It seems Jyn’s emotions always get the best of her when talking about the iconic roles she played in the9s and early 2000s. In 2024, the actress was overcome with tears when reflecting on her tenure on the classic sitcom Friends during variety series Actors on Actors. And that was before Quinta Brunson could even ask the question. You ask Jen Quint what it’s like to watch Friends now. Oh god, don’t make me cry. I won’t. Don’t make We won’t make each other cry. Okay. Well, you’re already crying. Do you want a minute? We don’t have to talk about No, no. Sorry. I just started thinking about I know. Yeah. Are you sure we don’t have to really No, I’m okay. Okay. It’s a happy tears. And we’re back. Okay. So, yes, Jen. Yes. Friends is turning 30. And I’m turning 30. And you are turning 30. This is so coincidence. It’s so crazy. When you were a baby on that show, you were so advanced. You Your fine motor skills were insane. I was an old soul. You were an old soul. It’s crazy. 30. It’s crazy. It’s so strange to even think that it’s 30 years old cuz it actually just I remember the day that it was going to premiere, you know, on television. Yeah. On NBC. Me and Matthew Perry were having lunch somewhere and we knew Lisa was getting her hair colored. So, we ran into the hair salon and I snuck up and she was in the sink, the hair bowl, and I took the the nozzle. Yeah. And just started like washing her hair from the guy that was supposed to be doing it and it definitely flew out of control and that was unfortunate. But the excitement we had and it feels like yesterday. Yeah. that day just feels and so the fact that it’s had this long wonderful life and it’s still meaning you know means a lot to people is one of the greatest gifts I I think all five of us all six of us ever could we never could imagine you know [Music]
