The Emmy goes to Owen Cooper. I love him. Owen Cooper’s breakout role now breaking records. The 15-year-old adolescent star, the youngest winner for outstanding supporting actor in a limited or anthology series or movie. Plus, the youngest male to win for any acting Emmy ever. Obviously, it’s just like a bonus. It’s the cherry on top of the cake, really. standing up here is just wow it’s just so surreal. Um honestly when I started these drama classes a couple years back I didn’t expect to be even in the United States never mind here. I think tonight proves that if you if you listen and you focus and you step out your comfort zone you can achieve you can achieve anything in life. It may have my name on this award but it really belongs to the people behind the camera and Steven and all that all the cast. So yeah and I hope you all have an amazing night and good night. The Teen Emmy winner’s performance earning praise not only for his young age, but the drama series famously filmed with continuous takes, allowing the story’s shocking tragedy and aftermath to play out in real time. I still can't forget how gobsmacked I was after watching Episode 3 of Adolescence for the first time. Owen and Erin were phenomenal in the show. I'm so happy for Owen for winning, it was well deserved. So proud of him. 😎👏🙌
