Ellen DeGeneres Sued After Allegedly Causing Car Crash | E! News

Ellen Degenerous is being sued nearly 2 years after allegedly causing a car crash. According to court documents obtained by People, a woman is suing the former talk show host for negligence, alleging that Ellen ignored a stop sign while driving in Santa Barbara, California, causing her to crash into the side of the plaintiff’s car. According to the lawsuit, the intersection where the incident occurred back in October of 2023, is controlled by stop signs in all directions. And while the woman alleges that she stopped for her stop sign and made sure there were no other vehicles before proceeding to move forward per the outlet, Ellen allegedly suddenly and without any warning collided into her vehicle and t-boned her Tesla. The woman goes on to claim in the lawsuit that she suffered multiple serious personal injuries and damages as a result of the accident as well as wage loss, acred hospital and medical expenses and loss of enjoyment of life, emotional distress and anxiety. Per people, she is suing Ellen for general negligence and an undisclosed amount of compensatory damages. While Ellen has not publicly addressed the allegations, the legal trouble comes amid her and wife Porsche D. Rossi’s new chapter since moving to the English countryside in November of 2024.
