The stars of RuPaul’s Drag Race arrive in showstoppping style on the red carpet at Los Angeles Peacock Theater for the award show on September 14th. But it’s season 17 contestant Joella, who arrives in a tan furry suit, complete with the classic Laboo ears that has the internet in shock. Joela’s face is just barely visible through a perfect circle cutout with makeup design that resembles a Laboo’s eyes and sharp teeth. In a video her fellow Drag Race star Jules Sparkles shares to her Instagram story, Joella appears in her furry fit and says this to the camera. It’s labu honey. I am upstanding. The hit competition series is up for two awards this year during the prime time ceremony, including one for its host RuPaul Charles and a second in the outstanding reality competition series category. Over the years, RuPaul’s Drag Race has earned a whopping 79 nominations, 29 of which it has won. [Music]
