Robbery Vs Burglary: What’s The Difference?

This is the difference between robbery and burglary. You’re being charged with either robbery or burglary. Which one do you pick? I don’t know. What’s the difference? Well, first it depends if a person is involved. Robbery is when you take something straight from a person. So, there always has to be a victim standing right there. With burglary, it’s different. It’s about breaking into a building or home with the plan to commit a crime. And it can happen even if no one is inside. Well, in that case, I It also depends if force or fear is used. Force or what? Robbery happens when you use force or fear to intimidate someone into giving up their belongings. Whereas for burglary, you can break inside without anyone being there, and it still counts as a crime. Finally, it comes down to whether anything was actually stolen. For robbery, property has to be taken from someone. For burglary, you don’t even have to steal anything. Just breaking in with the intent to commit a crime is enough. So basically, I could break into a house, steal nothing, and still go to prison. Exactly. Well, in that case, I choose trespassing. Uh-huh.
