Kate Middleton Gives King Charles KISS & CURTSY At Duchess Of Kent’s Funeral
Kate Middleton made sure to give King Charles a warm goodbye following the funeral mass of Catherine Duchess of Kent on September 16th. The Princess of Wales gave the king a kiss on the cheek and a curtsy before he departed Westminster Cathedral. The sweet interaction happened as members of the royal family were standing outside the cathedral as the Duchess of Kent’s coffin was moved into a hearse. Before the king went into his car, he looked at Kate, who walked over to him, gave him a smile, kissed both of his cheeks, and did a curtsy. The Duchess of Kent died on September 4th at age 92 at Kensington Palace. The tender moment between King Charles and Princess Kate at the funeral mass shows their sweet relationship. Their bond has seemingly gotten stronger since they both revealed their respective cancer diagnosis. The monarch announced his illness in February 2024, but has kept what type of cancer he has or the stage private. Kate revealed hers in March 2024, sharing she was undergoing chemotherapy at the time. In September 2024, the mother of three confirmed she finished chemo, calling herself cancer-free, and later revealed in January 2025 she was in remission. In July, the princess opened up to patients at a hospital in Essex, England, about what her life is like following her cancer treatment. You put on sort of brave facetoism through treatment. Treatment’s done. So, I can crack on and get get back to normal again. But actually, that the phase afterwards is really, you know, is a really difficult journey. you know, you’re not necessarily in the clinical team any longer, but you’re not able to function normally at home as you perhaps once used to. And actually someone to help talk you through that, show you and guide you through that. Yeah. Sort of phase that comes after treatment, I think, is really valuable. [Music]
