Robert Irwin Reveals Surprising Dancing With the Stars Prep | E! News

Best first dance ever. I mean, shocking. That shocked me. That was wild, though. That was like really crazy what you guys pulled off in the first week. Honestly, thank you. I I feel like I I had a good idea of what this show was about coming into it cuz my sister had done it. But it blew away every single expectation I ever had. And that’s just thanks to this incredible team, this amazing cast, and honestly, above all, the most incredible dance partner ever. And like 10 years in the making, and here we are. It’s such a privilege. I was wondering if you’ve been practicing this for the last 10 years. Like that’s how good it was. That’s what I was wondering when he walked in and couldn’t do anything. I was like, “What have you been doing? What have you been doing?” Nothing. This is how the conversation went. Whitney’s like, “Okay, so you’ve known for like four months you’re gonna do this show. What have you done to prepare?” there and I said, “Uh, nothing.” And and you could just crunches, I guess. I was like, “Why?” Oh, no. We got there. It’s fine. Well, I mean, obviously having having watched this from the sidelines with Bindy, did you have any other expectations of the show, did Bindy give you any advice that you know, something that she learned coming in as you were coming into the show? Bindy just said, “Take a breath and enjoy every single second of it.” As soon as she found out that Whitney was my partner, she said, “I got no notes on dancing. You have got that covered. You’ve got a great partner. You’re going to be all good. But really try and enjoy this cuz it goes by so fast. But it’s just like our first night is done. Done. The premiere. You’ll never do a premiere again. It’s kind of sad. Now you’re top of the Now you’re top of the leaderboard. How does that feel? I mean, I know everybody’s still trying to get their legs underneath them, but like you’re in that top spot now. That’s crazy. I mean, the fact that you’re competing against actual dancers and you’re keeping up and you’re at the top is really cool. Like that’s just a testament to how hard you work. Well, I think we’re a good team. We’re a good team. Who are you getting close with on this cast? Uh, everyone in here is just amazing. They are all so lovely, you know. Um, I was just chatting to Dylan. He’s like the outdoors guy, you know? He’s he’s real rough and tumbling right in it. He’s a great bloke. I love Danielle. She’s just so sweet. I mean, honestly, everyone has each other’s backs. We’re only at week one, but but everyone so far has got each other’s back. fun so far has been sweet. Sorry, it’s really fun. We’ll see how it goes next week when the eliminations start rolling in. The claws start to come out. You guys, I think are going to be fine. I think you’re going to be just fine.
